About Us

Hawgood Dance Centre has been  in operation for more than 40 years.  The Director of the studio, Mrs Hawgood, opened the Dance Centre and remains actively involved now.

Her passion for dance was instilled as a young girl whilst studying under Ms Danaher. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience both teaching and examining that is beneficial to all staff and students.

Our staff at Hawgood Dance Centre are passionate about dance and nurturing the love of dance in all students.

They are caring, supportive, enthusiastic teachers who strive to further develop the performance qualities and technique of those in their classes.

​We offer classes in RAD classical ballet,  jazz and tap, Contemporary, and Acrobatics.  Exams are offered to students who would like to undertake them as they are not compulsory.

We also offer the opportunity to participate in  eisteddfods and public performances.

We currently have dance classes in our studios at Bracken Ridge/Brighton and Northgate (North Brisbane) for students aged from 3yrs.
